چکیده

A traditional mosque is a form of conformity between the design and climate. The warm humid climate in Indonesia characterizes environment, which quite challenging to work with. mosque, with uniqueness roof design, allows application natural ventilation system that can effectively circulating air reduce effect heat room. However, has rarely been found modern mosques due widespread use dome. This study appraised Tgk Dianjong Mosque, one old Banda Aceh, Indonesia. was modified by replacing material ventilation. aims appraise indoor thermal comfort considering method used this research descriptive quantitative, data collected through physical measurements, i.e., temperature, relative humidity, velocity. were analyzed using CET (Corrected Effective Temperature) index assessed based on SNI 03-6572-2001. Multiple linear regression analysis conducted determine how much wind speed influences condition mosque. for two days, selected time being morning, afternoon, evening obtain more varied data. performs renovation fixed glass would contribute lack airspeed throughout roof, leaf grass, displaced metal creating highly effective temperature hence indicated as uncomfortable.

Numerical Investigation of Indoor Air Quality and Thermal Comfort in a Ventilated Room

Understanding the behavior of airflow in a room is essential for building designers to provide the most efficient design of ventilation system, and having acceptable indoor air quality. This trend is the motive to solve the relationship between airflow parameters and thermal comfort. This paper investigates airflow characteristics, indoor air quality (IAQ), and the thermal comfort (TC) in a ven...

Variability of Thermal Stratification in Naturally Ventilated

Building energy simulation programs often use standard thermal comfort indices and thresholds as boundary conditions. However, most of them focus on comfortable indoor hydrothermal levels, rather than spatial distributions. This paper investigates internal temperature vertical stratification in naturally ventilated residential buildings. To evaluate this effect, a field study was carried out in...
